Dear Friends,

The Autumn harvest is upon us and we see the bounteous abundance all around us.  We have labored long and hard in our gardens, and it is time to gather in our yields.
X
Let us also take time to labor in the Lord’s garden and gather in His harvest.  As we seek those who have gone before and perform saving ordinances on their behalf, we are bringing home an eternal harvest.  The lesson in this week’s “Come, Follow Me”* offers some suggestions on how we can begin:
X
1.  Family Records – 3 Nephi 26:6-13
X
If the Savior were to examine the records our family has kept, what questions might He ask us?  Are there any important events or spiritual experiences that we should record?  Now might be a good time to create or add to a family record and counsel together about what to include. Younger family members might enjoy decorating your record with photographs or drawings.

2.  Help Family Members Turn Their Hearts to Their Fathers – 3 Nephi 25:5-6
X
How will you help your family members turn their hearts to their fathers?  Maybe you could assign family members to learn about one of your ancestors and share with the rest of the family what they learn (see http://FamilySearch.org).  Or you could work together to find an ancestor who needs Temple ordinances and plan a Temple trip (as local laws permit) to perform those ordinances.

You can be part of the most important harvest the world has ever known–

At the Worldwide Youth Devotional on June 3, 2018, President Russell M. Nelson testified:
“[The] gathering is the most important thing taking place on earth today.  Nothing else compares in magnitude, nothing else compares in importance, nothing else compares in majesty.  And if you choose to, if you want to, you can be a big part of it.  You can be a big part of something big, something grand, something majestic! … Our Heavenly Father has reserved many of His most noble spirits—perhaps, I might say, His finest team—for this final phase.  Those noble spirits—those finest players, those heroes—are you!  I testify that the gathering is now, and it is real.”

Please share these ideas with your family and the members of your ward/branch so that we can one day stand before our Lord and declare that we diligently labored in His vineyard and helped to bring about a bounteous harvest.

We are grateful for all you do to further this great and important work.

Fondly,
