Happy Monday, Everyone!
Here’s a fun fact…It takes the space shuttle less than 10 minutes to get to orbit! It’s hard to comprehend that a 4 1/2 million pound system can go from zero miles per hour to its orbital velocity of 17,500 miles per hour in that amount of time.
Here are a few ideas that can be done in 10 minutes:
- Take time to record some of your own personal history.
- Connect with your ancestors by reading their stories.
- Try FamilySearch Record Hints – (a quick tool that can help you add more information to your family tree).
- Discover more about your heritage with FamilySearch’s country pages.
“Our message is so imperative, when you stop to think that the salvation, the eternal salvation of the world, rests upon the shoulders of this Church. When all is said and done, if the world is going to be saved, we have to do it. There is no escaping from that. No other people in the history of the world have received the kind of mandate that we have received. We are responsible for all who have lived upon the earth. That involves our family history and temple work. We are responsible for all who now live upon the earth, and that involves our missionary work. And we are going to be responsible for all who will yet live upon the earth.”
— President Gordon B. Hinckley, Church News, 3 July 1999, p. 3
Please pass the above ideas to the members of your ward/branch to help motivate them to shoot for the stars by engaging in this great and necessary work.
