Happy Monday, Everyone!

What a wonderful weekend it was.  We had the opportunity to show our love and gratitude to our outgoing stake presidency, President Beyler, President McKell, and President Lingenfelter.  They guided the members of our stake through divine inspiration, and we are so thankful for the endless hours they sacrificed on our behalf.  We want to express our love and support to our new stake presidency, President Caldwell, President Plotkin, and President Valencia.  We look forward to getting to know them better, listening to their inspired direction, and working to achieve their goal of becoming a “Zion People” in the Riverside California Stake.

We are lucky to live in an age where photos are taken, organized, and stored digitally.  With a simple click of the mouse, we are able to view our memories and share them with our family and friends.  Managing pictures taken in yesteryear could sometimes be an overwhelming and tedious task.  Often times, photos would be stored in boxes with the mindset of “getting to them” at a later date where they eventually became forgotten.  As we reach out to relatives, we may discover those who have stored forgotten photos and are willing to share them with us.  This would be a golden opportunity to sort through those memories and place an image with a name on your fan chart in FamilySearch.  The following link can help you get started in this endeavor:

In his October 2012 General Conference address, Elder Richard G. Scott gave this promise:

“This work [family history work] is a spiritual work, a monumental effort of cooperation on both sides of the veil, where help is given in both directions.  Anywhere you are in the world, with prayer, faith, determination, diligence, and some sacrifice, you can make a powerful contribution.  Begin now.  I promise you that the Lord will help you find a way.”

Please forward this idea to the members of your ward/branch to encourage increased participation in this great work.

We are grateful for you and all your efforts to further the work on this side of the veil.
