Hello Everyone!

What a beautiful Autumn morning!  The leaves are beginning to fall, the triple digits of summer are waning into cooler temperatures, and we can feel Heavenly Father’s love for us as we enjoy the variety of changing seasons.  Remember to take a couple minutes out of your time to ponder and enjoy these incredible blessings.

Another great way we can make good use of a couple of minutes is by doing family history work.  In her August 7, 2019 FamilySearch Blog, Jessica Grimaud gave some quick and easy ideas we can do in a jiffy:
X
Discover the meaning of your last name, including how many people have the same last name and where the last name comes from.
X
  • Which ancestor do you look most like:  Compare faces and find out! – (Note:  You will want to add photos of your ancestors in FamilySearch Memories for the best results).
  • Put yourself in the shoes of your ancestors, and use Family Search’s Picture My Heritage tool.
  • See if you are related to your friends!  Download the FamilySearch app to try Relatives around Me.

At the February 12, 2017 RootsTech Conference, President Russell M. Nelson stated:
X
“Brothers and sisters, you and I can be inspired all day long about temple and family history experiences others have had … until you and I do something to actually experience the joy for ourselves.”

Please forward these suggestions to your family and members of your ward/branch so we can encourage increased participation in family history work.

In the meantime, we love and appreciate you and are grateful for all you are doing to further the gathering of our Heavenly Father’s children on the other side of the veil.

All our love,
X
